Lutheran Care has launched its annual Christmas Appeal.
This year, we are sharing a story of a client who was supported by our Family Zone team recently. The mother of two revealed she and her children had been sleeping in their car outside a local school. Find out more about their story and how the Lutheran Care team was able to help.
Lutheran Care Chief Executive Officer, Rohan Feegrade, says, “this year has been a particularly tough year on many, many families”.
“We’ve had more people accessing our Emergency Relief sites and services than we’ve ever seen before.
“Christmas can often be a time of great difficulty, particularly for those most vulnerable.
“This being the case, it’s more important than ever for me to ask you today to contribute and donate to Lutheran Care’s Christmas Appeal.
“Your donation this Christmas will support families in need.”
But it’s not just at Christmas time that your donation will have an impact. With your support, we can not only provide immediate support and dignity to families and individuals in crisis, but our wraparound early intervention programs such as counselling, financial counselling and parenting education and support groups can help give people the skills, knowledge and confidence to improve their own lives, and those of their families, in the long term.
As Mr Feegrade reiterates, “your donation will be able to support people to change their lives”.
