Designed for children diagnosed with disability or in the process of diagnosis, this Early Intervention Group supports both children and their parents and/or carers.
Led by the Principal and Clinical Leads of our Positive Behaviour Support team, the Early Intervention Group consists of weekly two-hour sessions run over 10 weeks.
During sessions a practitioner and support staff work with the children in a group environment, while the Principal or Clinical Lead facilitates the parent/carer group that discusses the eight key domains that young people with autism or disability can sometimes find difficult.
The group also provides the opportunity for parents/carers to meet others who are experiencing similar challenges, while learning strategies, receiving advice and being guided by our clinical leadership team.
