Red text on white background that says 12 days of Giving . Lutheran Care logo appears above

As a way to encourage children to learn about the joy of giving and helping others at Christmas time, Lutheran Care is launching the 12 Days of Giving.

Rather like a ‘reverse’ Advent calendar, it is a 12-day challenge for children and their families. From 1-12 December, a new grocery item from this list will be revealed every day on our website and shared on social media.

We encourage families to find this item in their pantry or add it to their shopping list. Across the 12 days we will reveal canned food items, hygiene items and even a special treat . Compile the donations under your Christmas tree and every day watch the pile grow! Then, from 13 December, deliver your gifts to the Lutheran Care office for the Emergency Relief teams at either Blair Athol (307 Prospect Road) or Nuriootpa (26 Second Street)

"When I was in the process of escaping DV with my children, Emergency Relief from Lutheran care such as food and op shop vouchers were integral in helping us set ourselves up as a family. We will be forever grateful."
