The Adelaide business and broader community certainly showed up to Lutheran Care’s 2023 Gala Dinner to support fellow South Australians doing it tough.

Around 600 guests joined us at Adelaide Oval on Friday 10 November, for our party with purpose!
Lutheran Care’s 2023 Gala Dinner was proudly brought to you by LLL Australia. Guests enjoyed three superb courses prepared by award-winning chef Philip Pope, premium wines, live entertainment and the opportunity to support South Australians in crisis.
Our silent auction items are now live via GalaBid, giving you the opportunity to start your bidding online before Friday’s event.
Kindly donated by many of our sponsors and South Australian businesses, our excellent selection of live and silent auction items helped Lutheran Care raise almost $200,000 in urgently needed funds for the hundreds of families in crisis through our Emergency Relief program.
For our 2023 Gala Dinner, we are excited to bring you musical entertainment from Adelaide artist Ash Gale (known for fronting ARIA-charting act, The Sundance Kids) and his band Motel Music (right), who are sure to have the dancefloor packed.
Additionally, fresh from working together on a living art installation featuring gold-painted celebrities in Rundle Mall, we are delighted to host the internationally renowned surrealist artist Andrew Baines, who will will create a one-off artwork live on stage throughout the evening in front of your eyes!
There will be opportunities to bid on some outstanding live and silent auction items on offer, and take home a stunning bottle of SA wine with our Wine Wall.
Together with our MC, media personality Rebecca Morse, we cannot wait to host you for an amazing night and raise much-needed funds for local families doing it tough.

By supporting the 2023 Gala Dinner, you are supporting the people in your community who need it most.
Right now, households are facing the biggest increase in the cost of living in more than three decades and it is the vulnerable people in our communities who are being hardest hit. We are seeing an unprecedented increase in clients seeking crisis services such as Emergency Relief (ER), homelessness support and Domestic Violence services. We are struggling to keep up.
The Gala Dinner is our major fundraiser, raising urgently needed funds for our ER program. This program provides people in crisis with food, hygiene items, bedding, clothing, vouchers and referrals to our other services, such as Personal Counselling, Financial Counselling, parenting courses and support groups. In this way, we help the people who knock on our doors gain the skills, knowledge, confidence and connections to improve their own lives in the long term.
Our last Gala Dinner in 2021 was an outstanding night, which with the help of our generous sponsors and around 700 guests, raised more than $200,000 for Lutheran Care’s ER program.
The 2023 Gala Dinner is shaping up to be even bigger and better and we look forward to you joining us on 10 November.
