Lutheran Care was delighted to give Royal Adelaide Show tickets to 10 wonderful families recently, thanks to the support of Show organisers.  

With so many families struggling right now, we wanted to help those who have been doing it tough, as the cost of living and housing crises continue to impact many households across South Australia. 

Lutheran Care’s Chief Executive Officer Rohan Feegrade said with more households feeling the pinch, it has become increasingly difficult for families to go on special outings and family holidays, so attending the Royal Adelaide Show was likely to be the last thing on many parents’ minds. 

“We can tell from the steadily growing numbers of people looking to us for support, South Australian families are struggling,” Mr Feegrade said. 

The ticket giveaway ran through Lutheran Care’s Facebook page and winners were selected at random, with the hope that they could make some special memories with an outing to the Show.  

Jaylee’s family of six was one of those selected. She said the tickets were “a huge help” and that her children were so excited to attend when they found out they would be going.  

“My five-year-old son said to me at the Show, ‘this is my best life’,” Jaylee said.  

“Thank you – we had an amazing time!” 

Aimee also attended with her two young daughters and was so excited to take them to the Show for the first time. The children enjoyed the Ferris wheel, playing with animals and were treated to some nifty show bags. 

“Thank you so much,” Aimee said. “We had the most amazing day!” 

Lutheran Care would like to thank the generous team at the Royal Adelaide Show for providing us with free tickets to the event. We hope all the families who received passes had a fantastic day and made special memories together.
