Lutheran Care
REFLECT Reconciliation Action Plan
Lutheran Care celebrates the rich cultures and histories of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, the world’s oldest continuous living cultures. We respectfully acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the Traditional Custodians of the lands, waters, and skies across which we work and live. We honour their deep spiritual connections to Country and pay tribute to their enduring strength, wisdom, and resilience.
We also recognise the trauma, grief, and loss caused by historical and ongoing injustices. Lutheran Care acknowledges and respects Elders past and present, and we commit to supporting emerging leaders and future generations.
Our second Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) for 2024-2025 reaffirms our commitment to reconciliation. This RAP marks a meaningful continuation of our efforts, focusing on strengthening relationships, advancing respect, and creating opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, communities, and organizations. By embedding these values into our practices, we strive to foster connection, understanding, and equitable outcomes for all.

Lutheran Care celebrates Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ cultures as the oldest continuing cultures in the world. We recognise Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the Traditional Owners of the land and respect their deep spiritual connection to land and water. We acknowledge the trauma, grief and loss of both past and present. We recognise and pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging leaders and descendants.
Lutheran Care’s Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) is a 12 month journey that demonstrates our resolute commitment to actions that promote reconciliation and opportunities to foster strong and respectful relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, organisations and communities.
