Lutheran Care provides community services in South Australia and Northern Territory through a range of programs. We support communities through responding to the needs of individuals and families, community development, learning opportunities, accommodation and disability support. Current programs include emergency relief, financial counselling, family support and education, foster care, homelessness and housing and, NDIS disability services. Lutheran Care has been successful in attracting new business and the need for continuous improvement across the organisation is growing. The Policy & Quality Officer is critical to ensuring a consolidated approach to corporate governance, across a number of areas in order to guarantee compliance, licensing and registration, manage risk and further develop our quality and policy framework.
The role will work across various funded portfolios and in consultation with the Executive Team and Service Delivery leadership.
In this role, you will:
- Contribute to and be accountable for the development and maintenance of LC’s Policy & Procedures framework
- Provide assistance to teams in the development of new Policies and Procedures
- Be accountable for the successful maintenance of LC’s accreditation across a number of quality frameworks in collaboration with subject matter experts.
- In partnership with subject matter experts, maintain audit and compliance requirements for funding and/or licensing agreements
- Lead the development of quality management systems to ensure the mechanisms for continuous improvement add value for LC
Salary Packaging:
The Australian Taxation Office (ATO) allows Public Benevolent Institutions (PBI), such as Lutheran Care, to offer special tax concessions. Through salary packaging, these concessions allow an employee to increase their take-home pay.

The successful applicant will be required to undergo a NDIS Workers Screening Check, a DHS Working With Children Check, a National Police clearance as well as a current Safe Environments for Children & Young People certificate (we can help you access these). You must hold a current and unrestricted South Australian Drivers License and possess a registered roadworthy vehicle available for work use (employees reimbursed for work travel). In addition, the successful applicant will be required to provide evidence of COVID-19 vaccination or a medical exemption.
